Music and Dance Workshops have a one-time only $10 donation-fee per group with 100% of the proceeds going to the Procession of the Species with the exception of Samba Olywa which carries a $5 per workshop donation-fee with 60% of the proceeds going to the Procession. This is a non-performance workshop designed for those looking to improve their abilities, learn to drum and discover new techniques and styles. All experience levels are encouraged to attend especially beginners. Some instruments will be provided but if you have a drum of your own please bring it along.

Join us in making music & artful costumes to honor the natural world of the night sky. All levels of experience are welcome to twinkle with us. We'll play 3 basic soundscapes composed of some percussion (bring your drums, shakers, bells/chimes), lots of space for improvisation (bring your creative fun self), and always room for beginners. Slide-whistles & nebulae welcome, too.

Planet Percussion is a community percussion group who's mission is to bring the world together through percussion music, art, and dance and to celebrate cultural diversity and the different musical styles associated with many cultures. Drawing upon influences from around the globe, Planet Dance becomes a theater of cross-cultural connection. All levels of experience are welcome.
